That is do I need one specifically for Tibet, or will a Visitor Visa to China be sufficient for me to go there?
Thanks for any help that you can extend.
Kieran

I read in travel books, you need special permit to travel to Tibet, plus you need Chinese visa. Once you are in Beijing or Shanghai or other major city, inquire about it. Even better, check with your local travel agency or online agency for current situation requirement permit to Tibet.
In www.seat63.com, the authour was saying the permit to Tibet maybe waived down the road. But, definitely check it out with a Chinese or Asian travel services for confirmation before you leave for China.
I love to visit Tibet too, especially by rail from Beijing.
Happy travels!
Cheers,
Ernie
