Sai Pavan | | India is a beautiful country and it has many a number of places to visit. I guess each one of us would have fallen in love with one or the other place.
Of all the places I visited, Wayanad was an awesome experience. The forest resort " Rest In Mist Paradise " is a wonderful experience. Its serene and natural.
There is another place Bhadrachalam located in Andhra Pradesh. Its famous bcoz of the Temple of Lord Ram. 35Kms from this place there is another site called Parnashala, where lord Ram , sita and laksham stayed. This place plays an important part in Ramayan. Both of these places are on the banks of river Godavari. Spending an evening at parnashala river bank looking at the river and the mountains and the sunset later is more than worth it. The diety in the temple is also powerful and one would love to worship him again n again. This place is also surrounded with Forest.......

Swapan Mukherjee (Photographer/Digital Artist). | | Accepted. Hope you had a good Holi. I have had to keep a low profile the last few days due to a heavy cold and soar throat. Just about getting out of the spell.
Have to plan an extensive Rajasthani trip soon. May I contact you for some advice when I am ready?
Cheers.

Nrupal Choudhari | | Hi All,
Here are my recommendations:
Patnitop and Sanasar - Lovely hill-stations on the Jammu-Srinagar highway... are by-passed by most tourists, so not as famous as other tourist spots in Kashmir (thankfully!!)
Flag-lowering ceremony at the Wagah Border - An animated crowd on both sides, foot-stomping soldiers... Worth going to see the intensity in their eyes alone!
Kausani - Sleepy little town in Uttaranchal, often confused with Kasauli in Himachal... but unparalleled view of the majestic Himalayan peaks like Trishul and Nandadevi
Cherrapunji - There's more to this place than just being a statistic in Geography text books... with or without rainfall :)
Igatpuri in the monsoons (infact anyplace in the Sahyadris is magical from June to Sept)
Some journeys which are an experience in itself:
Drive from Gangtok to Nathula in Sikkim (from 6,500 odd feet to 14000 feet in less than 3 hours!!!)
Drive from Shillong to Cherrapunji, and helicopter ride from Guwahati to Shillong (only 20mins, but very pretty - view from above of the bramhaputra plus the khasi hills)
Cheers Nrupal

ANIL RAJ LODHA | | I would go with Nrupal on the Wagha Border Flag lowering Ceremony as well. Had recomended Amritsar for this as well. And Kasauni In UttraKhand now..
BTW Nrupal.. Wht we hv common is XIC , Mumbai and Extensive Travel I guess and the fact that i am longing to visit the Eastern States..

Ellen Schultz | | Hi,
My list is:
Rome, Italy (my favorite city in the world) Ischia, Italy (amazingly beautiful little island off the coast of Naples) Buenos Aires, Argentina (wonderful and exciting city) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (I wish I had visited more of Brazil so I could list more. I hear the beaches are spectacular up and down the coast.) Montreal, Canada - Quebec City too Laguna Beach, California (great day trip from LA) Santa Barbara, California (I love California) Hudson Valley, New York (the Hudson River is beautiful and so is the valley)
Sorry, I haven't been to India yet, but hope to soon. :-)
Warm regards,
Ellen Schultz
PS New York City is an amazing place to visit. I don't believe any other city is like it although Paris is spectacular as well.

Tucked into this mesmeric mansion of the Gods lies the luxury of a real holiday - Sterling Manali. Sterling Manali is built to give you the utmost comfort of a great holiday.
